Two days from his first NFL start, Johnny Manziel said he's in a "different place now" than when the Washington Redskins got the best of him mentally during a preseason game.
The Cleveland Browns rookie's mentality for Sunday's debut against the Cincinnati Bengalsseems clear-cut.
"Just try to go out and have fun and not get caught up in any other bullcrap," Manziel said.
Manziel was talking within the context of the Browns' third preseason game, against Washington, when he extended his middle finger to the Redskins' bench after Washington players flashed Manziel's signature money signs after sacks. On Thursday, Browns coach Mike Pettine said hewouldn't be surprised if the Bengals resurfaced that taunting approach, given the burden of Manziel's hype.

In 13 games as a backup, Manziel maintained he's learned how to be a professional.
"It's not like it was in the preseason," Manziel said. "I feel I have a lot better control of everything. I'm under a lot more control than I was then.
