John Wall has not lived up to the hype that came along with the expectations he was placed under after being the No. 1 pick in the 2010 Draft, but he will be eligible for a contract extension this offseason as he enters the final year of his rookie deal.
And in Wall's eyes, he is a max player and worth that contract from the Washington Wizards.
"I feel like I am. I do, definitely," Wall said.
Still, Wall has not started thinking about a possible extension.
"Look, I’m just enjoying D.C," Wall said. "This hasn’t been going the way we wanted it to, in terms of winning, but I think we are building something here."

I was being half serious. Before this recent stretch of actual good games from John, I think you could have made an argument for picking Dragic over him. The fact that Wall has absolutely no outside jumper would be the biggest reason. Coming in against the Hornets he has made six threes over the last two seasons combined.
But we might be currently seeing some actual progress from Wall. If he can keep developing that jumper, be an actual threat from 3 and midrange, I have no problem with him getting paid like 10M a year. He has another season to prove his worth.

Alongside Beal, who I think is gonna have an awesome sophomore year, that backcourt could be freakin' amazing.

Wow, he isnt going to get that. He has definitely not lived up to the expectations. I mean Irving is better than him by so much, very dissapointed in Wall.
