Will Joe Mauer repeat for AL MVP? Better yet will he resign with the Twins?

I'd like to see Joe Mauer be one of those guys who doesn't leave the team he developed with and then go for money with a team like the Yankees, Mets, Red Sox, etc.

Mauer will re-sign but will not win MVP. His power numbers will drop back down to normal. His HR/FB rate was ridiculous last year and I can guarantee he goes back to around 10 HRs again this year, depending upon how Target Field plays.

i'd love to see him as a Met but it will never happen. The Twins can't afford to let Mauer walk, so he'll most likely resign. To be honest, I would be stunned if he went on FA and signed elsewhere.

Whether or not he will repeat is tough. He's a great contact hitter, one of the best, and he's got good power as well. I just don't know if he can hold the title against Tex.

I'll give him an 80% chance he repeats, but I'm envisioning a big show down between Tex and Mauer for that title. Heck, if Morneau can stay healthy he might be in the top 5 as well.

He won't go back down to 10 a year, but he won't repeat what he did last year. He'll hit a solid 20.

Also I really think that he will resign with the Twins. He's a Minnesota native, and he doesn't seem like somebody that would go out and chase the big money.
