From:Realgm.com
Star-Ledger - Former Saints wide receiver Joe Horn has been contacted by the Giants, and reports indicate that a signing could be imminent.

The source, who requested anonymity, said Horn arrived in the New York area Tuesday night and will take a physical Wednesday.

Horn, 36, has been a free agent since the Falcons released him on Aug. 19, after Horn requested a trade.

This would help out the Giants tremendously. He has always been a pretty good WR. Just getting up there in age.

It will be interesting to see what he can still do.

Him and Amani would be great for our younger guys (Smith, Moss, Manningham) I dont include Hixon b/c he's garbage.

Hopefully if we do sign him he can make an impact.

Honestly, I think he's too old. But I guess you never know.

Hah, I swear when I first saw the title of the post I thought it said "Jason Seahorn" Why I thought it said that, idk. Lol, would have been quite interesting though, haha.

Not too sure if I like this idea. I mean, ya, a good option for the playoffs, kind of a leadership thing/depth. Would help us depth wise, but I don't see him making an impact. I think Smith will step up into a bigger role soon, Toomer will remain a hot Target as well as Boss and Hixon. Smith will still be the go-to-guy on 3rd downs, so I'm not sure aside from depth and being a veteran how this would benefit.

I don't like hixon. He was only good on a select few games when he filled in for Burress. Now that there is no burress, people are strategizing against him and he's shown his true colors.

they let him walk, and gmf, don't let him fool you. he would have been TERRIBLE for the giants, not only can he no longer play, but he is a poor mans terrell owens. he is a cancer, in the lockerroom and out. he cheated with a number of saints wives during his time here. the guy is bad news.

I just saw on ESPN that they reported the Giants will not be signing him at all.
