i dont think hes going to go anywhere to be more than a third stringer, as a qb.

CFL GM says Tebow would compete to be a backup

Now it’s starting to get ugly.

The general manager of the Montreal Alouettes, the team which holds the rights to Tim Tebow North of the border, said he’d welcome the former Jets backup.
To be their backup.

Alouettes general manager Jim Popp said Tebow would be the backup behind Anthony Calvillo, while he learns the Canadian game.
“If he wants to come to Canada he would be in the same situation as the one he was in with New York,” Popp said, via Dave Naylor of TSN.ca. “He can come here and compete to be the backup to Anthony Calvillo and learn the game, just like Jeff Garcia did [behind Doug Flutie]. And one day he might be the guy; that’s our vision. He can learn from the best.”

That said, Popp hasn’t contacted Tebow’s agent, and assumes he’s going to try every avenue in the NFL before he even considers coming to the CFL.
“If [Tebow] wants to come to Canada he will reach out to us,” said Popp. “And if he wants to come to Canada we would take a look at him.”
The way today’s going, it may be worth a look, as no one in the NFL is really rushing to his aid.

Damn lol

A CFL team would be foolish not to give him a starting job just with the sheer amount of publicity they'd get.

All of a sudden ESPN covers CFL outside of their championship game. That would be hilarious.

I really think he could compete for a starting gig in a few places, and it's not like he was given a fair chance last year. Given a fair chance, he'd have been starting by week 5.

I'm not saying he's some great player, but Tim Tebow might be the only professional athlete who's moments of greatness AND his moments of horrific play are exaggerated beyond comprehension.

Scott Van Pelt: "I vowed when we got up today and saw the news that Tebow'd been released by the Jets we weren't going to go all in here because he's a backup quarterback who was responsible for zero touchdowns last year and if SportsCenter wants to turn it into a carnival in the morning then that's on them. I don't get it but if you want to talk about that for an hour and not show Golden State highlights then I would disagree with that and people would be happy I'm not anchoring cause my thing is show me highlights."

The TRUTH!!!

I can't stand watching sportscenter and shit because that's all they talk about. They never really show the good stuff. Thank goodness for the internet.
