Joe McKnight practiced at cornerback this week for the New York Jets, as they are thin at the position following a concussion to Darrelle Revis.

McKnight has primarily been used on third down and on special teams.

McKnight will be an emergency cornerback in Week 2 against the Steelers.

McKnight played cornerback and free safety in high school.

Joe was a excellent corner in HS, I'd like to see how he could hang in the league.

Using him as an emergency CB is desperate?

Can only have so many guys on the team, McKnight won't see the field at CB unless the guys behind Wilson get hurt or are just completely terrible

I never saw him play corner in HS, but he's an emergency option and he might not even play at CB. If he does go out there and plays some, and does well, they'll know they have him as an option if they ever need someone. If he does go out there and sucks, they'll know it'd probably be a good idea not to use him there again.

i'm just more used to seeing teams grab somebody from the practice squad when they need an emergency option. do they not have any CBs on practice squad? i don't even know.
