Citing unnamed sources, the New York Daily News reports New York Jets GM Mike Tennenbaum contacted the Denver Broncos at the opening of the NFL meetings on Sunday to let Denver know the Jets are very interested in trading for Cutler.
The Jets have made no formal trade off & Denver continues to hold onto hopes that they can restore the relationship between Cutler and 1st year head coach Josh McDaniels.
The Jets have been fingered as a prime trade location for Cutler since Cutler first grew sour about the Broncos fielding the Cassel trade offer. The outs of Brett Favre leaves the Jets with Kellen Clemens as their current #1 QB on the depth chart. -AE
