The Jets released veteran linebackers Brad Kassell and David Bowens this week, 2 moves that now leave the Jets thin at inside linebacker. No worries for Jets' fans as the decision to release Kassell and Bowens puts them into position to chase Ray Lewis or Bart Scott.

"They must be targeting a linebacker, probably from Baltimore," Bowens said in a phone interview.

Jets' head coach Rex Ryan, coming off a tenure as Ravens' defensive coordinator, knows both Lewis and Scott as well as anyone and should either player opt to leave Baltimore, reuniting with their former coach seems the most likely. -AE

I'm sorry, I just dont see Lewis leaving Baltimore.

I can see Scott going there, or at least one of the NY teams.
He's much younger, can bring a lot more over the next 4-6 years.

Ray Lewis has been having thoughts about the situation though, I read it in a New York Newspaper. Ray Lewis would be a good fit here in NY though, he has what it takes to play the position and he knows it like the back of his hand.
