Report: Jets remain interested in Randy Moss

Profootballtalk "continues to hear" that the Jets are interested in free agent Randy Moss. The Jets quickly sent out word that they were not interested in Moss after coach Rex Ryan raved about him last month. GM Mike Tannenabaum was noncommittal when asked about Moss in a recent appearance on PFT Live. Moss and Plaxico Burress look like fallback options in case the Jets lose Braylon Edwards or Santonio Holmes.

...?

Its not that Moss needs motivation. Hes a headcase, complains about everything. With a young QB like Sanchez. Moss could ruin him.

The dude wasn't trying on the field because he wasn't motivated to play. Half-assing his routes and shit.

Not concerned about him getting on Sanchez for two reasons, 1. Sanchez could handle it, 2. Rex wouldn't let that shit fly.

Did you watch Sanchez in the HBO Hard Knocks shit? He was literally freaking out in the games after he threw a INT.
Literally had to have the whole team calm him down. With Moss in his ear "I was open, I was open" .. Shits not gonna bode well. Rex would have no say in it. What are they gonna do? Tell Moss not to talk? Yeah.. he'd really sign there.

Moss should of been motivated, it was a contract year. If you think he wasn't trying then I question if you know what you're talking about.

lol if you think the Jets, of all teams, can motivate a player with a bad history

if Tom Brady and the Pats couldnt, you easily cannot

I watched it and it didn't cover anything from this past regular season, covered preseason and his rookie year. If he gets like old Randy, he won't be there is what I'm talking about when Rex won't be having that shit, he's not the superstar he used to be where you put up with his mouth because he performed.

If you watched him play, you'd see he wasn't putting a ton of effort it. He wasn't happy about being a decoy. Dude was running straight lines every play to draw the double team to get other guys open.

He wasn't getting the ball with you guys anymore, nothing you could do about that.

I think you'd get him on your team and you'd be calling for his head like.... real quick. Just my opinion.

Moss was traded because whenever Brady would throw the Ball at Moss, it was usually picked off. Moss just doesn't care anymore. Playing for the Jets isn't gonna change anything.

I think they're just using Moss to get Holmes and Edwards to resign with the team under their terms. Even if he were to sign, I don't think he would improve their receiving core all that significantly.

He's a jerk and the team is full of assholes. Seems like a match made in heaven.

Randy Moss isn't going to change anything for the Jets anyways. He's not the deep threat he once was, and if the team starts going through a slump it's going to just kill his motivation completely.

Wow imagine a WR corps with Santonio, Moss, and Braylon.... Idk about that, I dont think that would be a good mix.

They obviously wouldn't get all 3.
No. There is no way the Jets could manage to do that.

I've said this so many times in the past. The Madden approach of nabbing all these top talents is really tough to do, and it's tough to win titles like that. Am I saying the Jets won't? We'll see I guess, time will tell, but I don't really feel confident in that method of doing things for them.

It works if you're not the Redskins
