NFL.com - The Jets had interest in Bruce Irvin, who the Seahawks drafted with the 15th overall selection, one pick ahead of New York.

Many analysts felt Seattle reached on the West Virginia defender.

After the Seahawks took Irvin, they received a good-natured call from the Jets cursing them out for taking the player they wanted.

One general manager called Irvin the "hottest player in the draft."

Bears were looking at him too.

Supposedly one of the seven guys on Phil Emery's list.

Ryan denies report, says they wouldn't have taken Bruce Irvin at 16. Says Coples, Hill rated higher than Irvin. Sanchez here, not speaking.
