According to Rainer Sabin of the Dallas Morning News Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones said Sunday that Tony Romo's recovery from the fractured left collarbone he suffered in October is behind schedule and indicated that it is looking increasingly unlikely that the quarterback will return to the field this season.
"As I stand here right before the game, he's not ready to play," Jones said minutes after the Cowboys defeated the Washington Redskins 33-30. "He's still having sensitivity. If he were healthy, he would practice."
Only weeks ago, it appeared Romo would come back Dec. 25, when the Cowboys face the Arizona Cardinals.
But Jones said that Romo hasn't healed as quickly as the team had anticipated he would.
"We are a little behind where I'd thought we'd be on how healthy he is," Jones said.
They shouldn't be worried about him coming back. Let the new married man sit and rest, and come out next year.
