Jerod Mayo Injures MCL, Out For Month

Chris Forsberg/ESPN.com - Patriots linebacker Jerod Mayo hurt the MCL in his left knee against the Raiders on Sunday, according to multiple reports.

He is expected to miss about a month.

Mayo needed attention on the field before being aided off the field by two trainers. He was unable to walk off the field with his teammates at halftime and was instead carted from the field.

Tough break for the Patriots. Mayo has been playing extremely well this season in my opinion, and is showing people why some analysts think he could be a top-10 LB in the NFL soon. Hopefully he heals up quickly, and is able to resume and play where he left off.
