Jennings Believes Cheeks Wasn't Given Sufficient Time As Pistons' Coach
 

Maurice Cheeks was fired as head coach of the Detroit Pistons on Feb. 9 and the team is 2-6 since the firing.
 
Brandon Jennings still cannot believe Cheeks was let go 50 games into the season.
 
“You give a coach half a season with new faces and new chemistry, that’s not enough time,” Jennings said. “I felt like he was in a losing situation. We were winning and now we’re playing like the old Pistons, in the beginning."
 
Jennings had an efficient start to the season under Cheeks, a former point guard.
“I don’t have a problem with John (Loyer), just with the whole thing of changing coaches was one of the more difficult things for me,” Jennings said. “John was our assistant, so I know a lot about him. It was just a personal problem with Mo leavin

That's interesting because what has been widely reported is that most of the locker room was ecstatic to have Cheeks go.  Jennings is just the one guy who can't keep his mouth shut.

I'm starting to think Cheeks wasn't okay with tanking, and that is what Gores told him to do. IDK.
