Report: Knicks Showing Interest in Teague
Wednesday, Jan. 27
According to Ian Begley of ESPN, the New York Knicks have expressed interest in potentially acquiring the 27-year-old point guard.

This comes on the heels of Yahoo Sports' Chris Mannix and Adrian Wojnarowski reporting Wednesday morning that the Hawks were willing to listen to offers.

Per Begley, trading for Teague likely won't be easy from New York's perspective since it doesn't have much of value that it can realistically offer the Hawks.

In addition to that, acquiring Teague could stop the Knicks from being players in free agency this coming offseason due to his $8 million cap number, according to Begley.

The Atlanta Hawks have been reportedly soliciting offers from other teams on Jeff Teague or Dennis Schroder.

The Hawks have more recently been focusing upon Teague as the deadline nears.

Schroder will be a restricted free agent in 2017, while Teague's deal comes up that year.

Ive been wondering who theyd choose long term

Looks like they'll let the other teams decide for them, but want to offer teague first probably for a better return

This is where being a coach/gm gets sticky

You hear rumors, but the guy is right there next to you acting like nothing is happening
