According to the Baltimore Sun, free agent OT Jared Gaither "seems unlikely" to return to the Ravens.
The Ravens traded up to draft Jah Reid in the third round, an indication that they're moving on from Gaither. Gaither is also a four-year free agent, so he's likely to be unrestricted if a new CBA is agreed upon. We've floated the possibility of the Lions pursuing Gaither to play right tackle in 2011 and kick to the left side in 2012, replacing Jeff Backus.

Wouldn't mind that at all haha.
Though I still like Cherlius. I'd say just put Gaither at RT. And let Cherilus replace Backus at LT. (well I guess it could go both ways lol)
If anyone needs to be replaced though it is Peterman lol.

Why would we let Cherilus replace Backus? If I remember correctly Backus was the best LT in the NFC North statistically.

I don't mean this year, I mean in the future. Cause I like Cherilus, and think he would be a nice replacement for Backus whenever he hits a decline.

Basically what I'm saying is that we would have both tackle spots locked up if we did this, in my opinion.

It sounds like a good idea to me. I like Cherlius too, and Backus doesn't have many years left, obviously. I'm with you on Peterman too. He just makes me uneasy. Constant false starts makes me crazy. Along with getting beat quite easily.
