JaMarcus Russell has lost 50 pounds and is now down to 265, his exact weight when he was the first overall pick of the 2007 NFL Draft.

Russell is receiving "significant" interest from more than one team, according to a source.

Russell would like to sign with a team where he can learn behind a respected leader at quarterback.

Russell also is "more than open" to signing with a team in the CFL.

Must be the Jets, Dolphins and Jaguars lol.

Look, in today's offenses, an in shape Russell would work well. He was pretty damn quick at the time

If he gets in shape, I see no reason why a team like the Panthers wouldn't sign him as a backup to Cam. They could run the same exact offense

If Russell can get himself back in around the 250-255 zone and work on his arm accuracy, then he could come in and surprise some people. I watched this guy almost every Saturday when he played at LSU and he's more than capable of being an NFL starter with the talent that he has. He's just got to find a way to figure things out and put everything together. As crazy as it sounds, the Jets would be smart to make a move and bring him in just to give him a shot in the preseason and see what happens. Absolutely nothing to lose.

Oh yes, please go to the Jets so we can hear about that QB battle even more.
