Columnist Gene Frenette does not expect the Jaguars to pursue free agent Plaxico Burress.
Frenette points out that GM Gene Smith doesn't bring in guys with character questions -- especially those that will be 34 in August. Even though the Jags are desperate for wideout help, Burress doesn't make much sense here. They need to add young talent to the position as Mike Sims-Walker is expected to walk in free agency.
While the dude reporting was wrong when he said he'd put his career on the line that the Jaguars wouldn't draft a QB in the first round, still worth reporting.

Agreed.

I don't see Plax heading to a team like Jacksonville that will take a bit more time to reach their potential. He's going to want to chase another title most likely, and he'll feel a team like the Eagles gives him another chance to do that for sure.

IDK how the jags are far away, we need a WR and was a game away from the playoffs last year.. lol smh.

Also, hes tired of being in big media teams (New York, etc). He wouldn't prolly mind going to a smaller market team and living his life. His family is in tampa.
