After two solid pre-season games, Vikings quarterback Tarvaris Jackson now finds himself sidelined with a “mild” sprain of his right medial collateral ligament.
Jackson left the first quarter of Saturday night's pre-season game versus the Ravens. It is believed that the injury occurred during Jackson's 9-yard scramble, during the team's second drive. Jackson stayed in the game for 2 additional plays before having to be helped off the field.
Jackson is expected to miss a week or two, but should be ready for the team's season opener versus Green Bay. Jackson completed 8 of 11 passes in his first preseason action and 7 of 11 Saturday night before he left the field. -AE
