The Columbus Blue Jackets added another player up front Tuesday night as they acquired Mark Letestu from the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for a fourth-round pick at the 2012 NHL Draft.
Letestu, 26, had 14 goals and 13 assists in 64 games for the Penguins in 2010-11 but had just one assist in 11 games this season. The 5-foot-11, 195-pound winger had been with the organization since the spring of 2007, when he signed with the Pens after going 24-22-46 in 37 games for Western Michigan University.
Overall, the Elk Point, Alta., native has 15 goals and 14 assists in 85 NHL regular-season games. He also has two assists in 11 playoff contests.
