AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- Detroit Pistons guard Allen Iverson will miss the next two weeks with a sore back, the team said Wednesday.

Iverson was evaluated on Wednesday by doctors at Georgetown University in Washington. Doctors there recommended that he suspend basketball-related activities and be re-evaluated after two weeks.

Doctors at Georgetown have been in contact with the team's medical staff and Iverson will begin treatment upon his return to Detroit on Thursday, the team said.

Iverson, traded from the Nuggets in November for guard Chauncey Billups, strained his back last week in a game against the Miami Heat and aggravated the injury in a subsequent game against the New Orleans Hornets.

Yes! Say goodbye to your mini winning streak Detroit.

Yeah, but once he comes off the bench I think that we will be back up there again. If you think about it, he will be in a lineup with like Rip/Afflalo, Herrmann, Maxiell, McDyess/Brown. It would be all him.

AI is not going to be playing 30 minutes with scrubs on the floor.. He'll be in there for maybe 10 minutes max a game with bench players. He'll have to be rotated in with starters as well, where he wont fit in yet again.

No AI no problem.

No problem = no Answer.

That's my thoughts lol.

If he is willing to take a paycut, I wouldn't mind having him back.
You also go back and forth on us being lottery or playoffs.
If we go one and done I will be more pissed about going lottery.

We`ve been winning without him, and we will hopefully continue to win without him, and when when he is healthy and coming off the bench.

I doubt he'll be in the Murder/Motor City after this Season.

I was talking about the current situation... I'd take him back next year too. Depending on what kind of role he would take.

And I was kidding about the lottery....

Sorry to say it, but Iverson wasn't the Answer to their problems

We got Iverson to be a go to player in the playoffs, something we lacked in our previous playoff runs.

We have yet to see if it works. If we don't win a title, then I'll say it failed.

You should be shooting for a playoff series win at this point.. Because the Pistons wont even smell the finals.

That's what I thought before, but these last 3 wins have shown me we can still compete at a high level.

I'm only afraid of Boston in the East to be honest.

Magic can't beat us ever. Cavs are meh. They are kinda scary.
