As the saying goes, a man is only as good as his word, and Richard Murphy is eager to see if the adage is true.

The former LSU and Rayville running back said he has a verbal commitment he will be picked up by the Jacksonville Jaguars for the 2011-12 season, but with the current lockout situation still unsettled, Murphy has no proof.

Is a Verbal Agreement with UDFAs really against the rules? Looks like the Jags did it with Richard Murphy.
