Since Grady Sizemore(notes) missed most of last season with a knee injury as well as the first two weeks of this one, it's been lovely for Cleveland Indians fans to watch the center fielder help the team become one of the surprises of the league.
Now The News-Herald reports that Sizemore has another knee injury that he suffered in the sixth inning of Tuesday's game while sliding into a base. The paper notes that the injury kept Sizemore out of the starting lineup Wednesday and that he had an MRI.
"[The MRI] is for Grady's own peace of mind," said manager Manny Acta, the paper reports. "He felt good enough to stay in the game [Tuesday]. But when it felt sore when he woke up [Wednesday morning], given what he went through with the other knee, just to clear his head, he wanted [to get an MRI]."

Shouldn't be serious, and it didn't happen to his previously injured knee so I'm not that worried. But we really need him back.

He better not be injured he was showing his old form and the Indians really need him in that lineup to contend.

its just a minor injury that's sidelining him for a few days. Nothing serious. He probably could play, they're just being precautious.

I didn't like that he was batting lead off, because he isn't a lead off hitter but he's been extremely productive since coming back, and when he's not in the lineup, Austin Kearns is. So yea.

well before his knee injury he was a solid base stealer so I guess that was the bright light that made him a lead-off guy, but they know he won't have that same speed now so I don't know why he's leading off.

It was never about the speed, he just isn't a true lead off hitter. He strikes out too much and is built too much like a run producer to be batting lead off. He needs to be in the middle of the order getting RBIs. We have a true lead off hitter in Michael Brantley but they won't put him there when Sizemore plays
