As of now, Nick Swisher is scheduled to be one of the starting three outfielders for the New York Yankees when the season kicks off. But a few other teams would like to see him pull on their jerseys on opening day.

Fox Sports reports that the Cleveland Indians are one of several clubs that have called the Yanks about trying to make a deal for the 31-year-old who has hit 185 homers since joining the big leagues with the Oakland Athletics back in 2004.

The Yankees, though, aren't likely to trade Swisher, who is set to make $10.25 million next season, Fox notes, because the team doesn't have a major-league ready outfield prospect right now.

The Indians, club officials tell Fox, are pursuing every hitter on the market who is not named Prince Fielder.

I'd love to have him but I doubt the Yankees deal him.. No need to really, other then overreacting to a poor post-season.

Its all good, if the Yankees dont trade him now, the Indians will get him when he's a free agent. Swisher can resist can small market green.

I think Swisher would kill himself before going from the Yankees to the Indians.

Swisher is in heaven in New York. Wouldn't surprise me if you saw him cry if the Yankees traded him tbh.

Victor Martinez cried when he got traded from the Indians to what most think is a great destination in Boston.. Not sure what you're getting at here, just more baseless and idiotic comments about Cleveland teams.

I would have said the same comment pertaining to any team. Bottom line is Swisher does not want to leave New York for any team.

So calm yourself.
