Nets close to deal w/ Bulls for Larry Hughes

A league source has confirmed that the Bulls and Nets are discussing a trade that would send Larry Hughes to New Jersey in exchange for Bobby Simmons and Maurice Ager.

It's up to the Nets to sign off on the deal, which amounts to the swapping of bad contracts. Hughes is owed $12.8 million this season and $13.7 million next season -- Simmons' is owed $9.9 million this season and $10.6 million next season. Jan. 20 - 9:22 pm et

A league source confirmed a report in the Bergen (N.J.) Record that the teams have had serious trade talks. It’s up to the Nets to sign off, and the deal will get done.

I like this move for NJ. They already have a huge amount of forwards. Or could this be them getting ready to trade vc. We will see

Simmons has played decently this season, and although he is getting older Hughes is still pretty good, and has an expiring big contract soon, so i like the trade for us.

Just don't make sense to me, Devin/Larry/VC?
Wouldn't work in my eyes.
