In a new vlog posted by UFC president, Dana White, Dwight Howard says he would fight in the UFC for the right price.
The vlog follows White behind the scenes at UFC 166 as he speaks with fighters and trainers, and then gets a visit from Dwight Howard and his Rockets teammate Chandler Parsons. Not overly familiar with the UFC, Parsons admits his intimidation at even attending the testosterone fueled event, and mentions how he would never climb in the octagon with a professional mixed martial arts fighter.
At this point, Howard starts to chirp Chandler a bit, and asks if he would get in the ring for three rounds for $10 million. The Rockets forward admits he would fight for an insane sum like that, but he would last only around 10 seconds against a trained fighter. Switching the question around, Parsons asks D12 if he would "square up," and he says he would, "I would get up there and fight. If I get knocked out, I get knocked out. I'm gonna get back up one day." Dana White quickly interjects, "I wanna do that pay-per-view event, I wanna do it."
Howard starts harassing his teammate again, and is for some reasons surprised he wouldn't do it, to which Parsons says, "Bro, I would literally f**kin die. They would literally rip my f**kin head open." Dwight's teammate is right here, there's much worse things that can happen to you besides being knocked out, and if he got in the ring with some of the sport's toughest and well trained he could incur a lot more damage to his head than simply being knocked out.
