He'll last longer from here on out than Tebow will.

I'd say 4. If his play drops than less, because with Mallett developing he's gonna be an elite passer himself.

& What makes you think this? Mallett was horrible during the preseason.

He looked better than another rookie QB drafted much, much higher than him...

And he clearly needed time to adjust. He played in a spread offense in college, to Tom Brady's offense in the NFL. Give him a few years, and watch out.

Damn, Kam can't go into any thread without getting a Gabbert reference.

I was just saying. So what if he didn't play well in his rookie pre-season? The rookie year, especially without an off-season is tough. Just because they didn't play too great last year doesn't mean they can't in the future.

Wasn't better than Gabbert in the preseason.. After week 1.. Mallett was Awful.

I don't even count the first game against the Jags. Mallett was in against guys that were cut the next week. Most of his passes were dump offs anyways.

Brady's gonna be that QB into his 40s at least. He'll retire sometime when he's 40something soooooo I think he's got a good 5-7 years left honestly.
