From realgm.com
New Orleans guard Jannero Pargo admitted on Tuesday that he will opt out of his contract later this month, according to The Times-Picayune.

The move will allow him to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1, but he still hopes to sign a long-term deal with the Hornets.

Head Coach Byron Scott claims that he wants Pargo back on the roster next season.

Yea, he did very well backing up Paul. He also had some big playoff games. I expect he wants to stay there.

He's definitely deserving of a better deal now.
