Chris Bosh: Sources who spent time this month with Chris Bosh on the West Coast say Bosh has decided that he will not be returning to Toronto.

That's not necessarily a shock, but the fact Bosh is not even willing to listen to Toronto's plan says volumes about where things ended in Toronto.

Raptors' sources confirmed last week they doubted Bosh returned either.

It seems both sides are at peace with the break up and are ready to move on.

Sources near the situation say Toronto is still likely going to get assets in return for Bosh and with Miami having such interest they could package a Michael Beasley in a deal and reduce Toronto's costs, while giving them a very similar player - Michael Beasley is listed as a 6-10 235 pound forward versus Chris Bosh, at 6-10 245 pounds. Bosh measured in at the NBA Draft Combine in 2003 at 6' 10.25"... Beasley at 6' 7" two years ago... without shoes. Both are face up forwards, that are offensive minded.

The Houston Rockets are said to have Bosh at the top of their board, and with so many inexpensive pieces, Houston could be interesting. The one thing Houston cannot offer is a deal that seriously reduces Toronto's luxury tax exposure, which teams under the cap like Miami, New York or Chicago can.

Bosh is truly the first major name in this free agent class to be truly available, it will be interesting to see how much interest there is league-wide in Bosh, especially when teams can start talking with him in July.

I'd suck Dumars' dick if he worked out a sign and trade. But won't happen.

Think mostly everyone knew this one was coming. Toronto just isn't a big enough NBA market.

They need to trade for a higher pick if that's the case. That sucks though.

I'm not too upset about this. In all honesty, I don't see Chris as the type of guy you want as a franchise player. He acted immature with his twitter comments a couple weeks ago and he just doesn't seem like as big a leader as you'd want from a guy of his caliber. That being said, I loved having him in Toronto and he is a great player but I think Toronto needs to move on and somewhat rebuild (although that will be a problem with Hedon'ts contract). In the long run, I trust BC with this team since he's not afraid to gamble. Even if this is just a rumour, my opinion doesn't change.

To say Toronto isn't a big enough NBA market is an understatement. There were plenty of sellouts this year at the ACC and the city really embraced the Raptors the past couple years since the Leafs haven't done anything. Also, Chris Bosh was pretty much the face of the city since Mats Sundin was traded.

I don't think he'll go to Miami if he is looking for a S&T like the article says.. The only thing they have to trade is Michael Beasley, and he has no value in the NBA right now.

I can honestly see Super Cool Beas (lmao) in Toronto doing big things

But IDK where he'd go otherwise. FA is looking like his best bet...at least to me

I can see him as a New York Knick next year, like the article states we have the salary cap that could reduce Torontos luxury tax. James, Bosh and the other big free agent, Dwayne Wade, all played under D'Antoni on the gold-medal-winning Olympic Team so that might swing them to join the Knicks as well.

I'd like to see Bosh play in Oklahoma City. A core of Westbrook - Harden - Durant - Green - Bosh would be so sick.

Would make sense of the Thunder. CB4 wants to play for a winner and we all know what the Thunder did this year. Do they enough money though?

The agent for All-Star forward Chris Bosh has narrowed the list of his client's preferred teams down to five, sources told ESPN's Chad Ford at the NBA Combine in Chicago.

The list of teams, which includes the Bulls, Lakers, Heat, Knicks and Raptors, was given to Toronto in the event they want to work a sign-and-trade should Bosh not re-sign with Toronto.

Bosh likes the option of a sign-and-trade, rather than signing with another team outright, because he could make more money and have another year added to his deal.

The Raptors would also prefer a sign-and-trade because it would allow him to replace Bosh.

"If LeBron decides to go to either New York or Chicago, I think that's where you'll see Chris land," a source told Ford. "If LeBron stays in Cleveland, I think the process is more wide open."

I think that is what is going to happen as well. Where Bosh goes, Lebron will follow. Or vice versa.

Don't know how he plans to follow LeBron to Chicago unless he signs an MLE deal to go there, because the Raptors aren't going to trade Bosh for Luol Deng.
