Greg Oden has received interest from multiple teams on a multiyear deal to be signed before the end of the season that would allow him to continue his rehab efforts.

Two sources said the Miami Heat are at the top of Oden's wish list and that the franchise continues to check in on his recovery.

The Heat currently have two roster spots available.

Oden's camp wants to remain patient with this comeback and have him continue to sit out the remainder of the regular season and Summer League.

Ric Bucher of Comcast originally reported Oden's interest in returning to the NBA this season.

Agent Mike Conley Sr. said the Heat "never" asked about free agent Greg Oden.

Oden is rehabbing his five-time surgically repaired knees and hoping for a return in 2013-14. His name was linked to the Heat by ESPN on Thursday, but that looks like an erroneous report. "They have never made a single call about him," Conley said. Oden would likely have to accept a minimum contract, so the Heat could fit him under their air-tight salary cap if they desired.

Report: Mavs interested in Oden for 2013-14


A source tells ESPN Dallas that the Mavs have been in contact with the player rep for free agent Greg Oden.
Now that Oden has made it clear he is intent on playing in 2013-14, teams are starting to line up and kick the tires. He'll be a low-risk, high-reward kind of addition for contending teams. Of course, Oden still has a long way to go in his rehab as he recovers from this third microfracture procedure. He's currently working out at Ohio State and taking classes toward his degree. The Heat were also rumored to be interested, but Oden's agent has denied that.
