Hawks Considering Sign-And-Trade With Smith?

There are at least two blockbuster sign-and-trade proposals the Atlanta Hawks are considering regarding Josh Smith.

One is from a Western Conference team and the other from the Eastern Conference with both teams apparently being amongst the NBA's powers.

The “proverbial” ball appears to be clearly in the Hawks’ court regarding both opportunities.

So it's most likely Detroit and Dallas. Just a wild guess lol.

Josh doesn't want to play in ATL.

We offered Tay and Amir along with picks, we also offred to take Speedy off there hands. We've been talking with them for a while, I hope we get something done. I LOVE Tay but I would trade him for Josh in a heartbeat.

Tay and Amir plus picks is a lot kind of. Or maybe it's cause I love Amir.

From what I read from the realgm boards and all the blogs, most say it is Dallas and Detroit. Most say Detroit has a couple of packages they would offer while the Mavs would start with Josh Howard.

Yeah. I think J-Smoove to Detroit and Artest to Dallas makes more sense then vice-versa. J-Smoove is more defensive minded and Artest is more mentally tough. Things both teams need.

i read RealGM thats how I know, we have a package of Billups and Amir for Josh and Bibby too, all though I don't know how true that one is.

Speedy would take over Hunter's role of last season. Most likely at least.

I wouldn't be suprised to see us buy out his contract later in the year like we did with Flip Murray last year.

At least that means Hunter could finally retire lol, even though he could go another year.
