SI's Jim Trotter has joined SI's Peter King in predicting that free agent Matt Hasselbeck won't be back with Seattle in 2011.
The Seahawks' fan base seems convinced that Hasselbeck will re-sign, but the writing on the wall has all along indicated otherwise. Trotter is known to be especially close with Hasselbeck, and King spent last weekend at a U2 concert with Seattle GM John Schneider. Trotter's "money" is on Hasselbeck signing with the Titans after the lockout ends. The Seahawks have never showed an urgency to re-sign Hasselbeck, with their eyes potentially on what projects to be a talent-rich rookie quarterback class in 2012.

Doesn't surprise me. I almost thought they would bring him back to mentor a younger guy, but who knows.

Not surprised. They just didn't seem interested in bringing him back. Guess the Seahawks are "In Charlie We Trust" now. Or J.P. Losman. If they don't get a guy in Free Agency that is.
