Richard Hamilton has become a distraction for the Pistons, according to a team source.

He missed Sunday's game and complaints about his diminished role have led some in the organization to wonder if Hamilton has quit on the Pistons.

"He quit on us," one team source said. Another team source said Hamilton is acting out of emotion and should adjust.

"If I need to have a long talk with him, I will," team president Joe Dumars said Monday on WDFN.

"I'll see how Rip is doing tomorrow when he gets in here. Rip's been good for me."

I found this to be quite laughable:
"If I need to have a long talk with him, I will," team president Joe Dumars said Monday on WDFN.

"I'll see how Rip is doing tomorrow when he gets in here. Rip's been good for me."
Go fuck yourself Dumars.

Maybe Rip wouldn't of quit on the team if your dumbass didn't create this rancid ass team.

I feel bad for the Pistons fans. Such a loyal bunch, yet the front office has completely ruined this team in the last few years.

I would have quit too

Man the Pistons are soooo screwed up. Its actually sad to see. I hope they at least pull off some kind of trade this season, even if they get crap (literal crap) in return.

I wish I was a billionaire lol. I'd have the team and Dumars would be long gone.

As anticipated, the Detroit Pistons are sticking with Ben Gordon in the starting lineup. That means Richard Hamilton is heading to the bench.
Talking with the media after practice on Tuesday, Hamilton seemed to understand the switch.
"When you not winning, you got to mix things up to try and get a couple wins," Hamilton said.
He seemed ready to embrace his new role.
"It's a different time in my career now. It's important for me to stay motivated, go out there, help my teammates."
Hamilton officially got word on the change on Tuesday, but anticipated it might be coming for awhile.
"You heard rumors over the last couple weeks, because Kue made a statement where he said he was going to shake up the lineup," Hamilton said. "So, it was one of those things where you knew something was going to come."
Hamilton asked if he was bothered by the change.
"Nah, the biggest thing that hurt me was a source in the organization said I quit," Hamilton said in reference to a Detroit News report.
"I was like, wow," he continued. "That was hard for me because the last nine years I just went out and played hard, played aggressive, did put everything on the line every night. To hear that allegation, it was tough on me."
Even though his role is changing, Hamilton doesn't expect his alter his approach.
"Same approach," Hamilton said. "Come out and try to win. Come out and be aggressive. The guys look up to me on the floor. So it's my job to be professional, and do whatever the team needs me to do to win basketball games "
He wouldn't take the bait when asked if he want to be traded.
"That's really not in my control." Hamilton said. "The thing about me is I'm a Piston. I put that jersey on each and every day, and that's the only way I can think right now."
He deserves so much better than this man..

With speculation rampant that the only thing bothering guard Rip Hamilton when he missed Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Hornets was a bruised ego, Detroit Pistons president of basketball operations Joe Dumars released the following statement:

"Rip and I had a great conversation,” Dumars said about a 20-minute chat after practice. “He's the last guy that I need to worry about competing. He's been a warrior here for a long time, and I trust him as much as anybody on this team. Rip is our captain, and I love Rip Hamilton."

Hamilton missed Sunday’s 111-108 victory with what the team described as an “upset stomach.” That raised eyebrows because it coincided with coach John Kuester's decision to replace him in the starting lineup with Ben Gordon.
But Hamilton had a good practice today, according to Kuester, and defended himself shortly afterward.
“For the last nine years, I just went out and played hard and played aggressive and left everything on the line every night, and to hear that allegation was tough on me," Hamilton said. "But Joe will find out who said it and get to the point on that.”
Dumars is still riding that Hamilton dick lol.

Please just trade him anywhere. And the rest of the team.

Trade em to Dallas. Give him a chance to win something.

He'd be a good asset on any team, but it'd be hard to imagine him not as a Piston.

He will probably end up retiring a Piston.

He'd probably sign back with them right before he retires, like JO wants to do with Indy
