Yeah man, I don't know why, but the text is still bad. Everything else has progressed but text is just stagnant...

You have to approach it completely differently. It looks like you're going with fonts that are too elaborate to begin with and adding all these blending effects.

Just try a small, simple arial font next time. Play with that till it looks good.
