I actually forgot all about this guy. Of course Jay Cutler definitely signaled the end of any chance he started another game in Chicago again...but I completely forgot he is even still out there.

Associated Press said:
HOUSTON (AP) - A person familiar with the negotiations says the Houston Texans have agreed to a deal with quarterback Rex Grossman.

The person, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the agreement had not yet been announced, said Grossman is expected to sign after passing a physical.
With Schaub and Orlovsky already in place, Grossman is fighting for the 3rd QB slot on that roster.

I think it's a good decision... After all, he is a superbowl quarterback. :p

But in all seriousness, he's better than Dan O, and who knows if Schaub can stay healthy and productive all in the same season - hasn't done it yet.

Only way he gets playing time is if Schaub gets injured or has more sub 10 QB rating games than Rex did in 07

Schaub has health problems all the time, so it will be more of a battle between Orlovsky and Rex, and i`d go with Orlovsky. Rex should try and find a different position to play, because QB is not for him. He could be like Charlie Batch in Pittsburgh and warm up the bench for everyone else, or be the Holder for the kicker, which gives lots of playing time, well at least time on the field.

Good signing by the Texans. Who wouldn't want a Superbowl QB as a backup?

Chances of Schaub getting injured is pretty good.

Behind someone who ran out of the back of the end zone :excl:
In his 1st game as a starter, and started the drive on like the 2. It happens in those situations. Now, if he did it more than once, than I would rag on him for it. He just wasn`t aware of it at the time.

How many QB's have you seen run out the back of the endzone on accident?
