Brewers GM Doug Melvin said Thursday that pitcher Zach Greinke will be traded before Tuesday's deadline, according to USA Today.

"I'm very fond of him," Melvin told USA Today. "He's one of my favorite players I ever had. Really, he's been like a son to me. I enjoyed talking baseball with him. He's very passionate. He follows the game. It's been a great experience having him for a year and a half.

"There are so many good things about him, it's going to be difficult when we trade him."

I would imagine that the Jays would be looking into him; our pitching rotation is way to unstable right now. We've been calling up pitchers all season.

Wouldn't make sense at this point unless Greinke is willing to re-sign in Toronto which I doubt he would.

I can see him going to the Rangers. Perfect fit imo.

He probably ends up in Chicago with the White Sox.

I could see the Rangers making a big push for him. Especially if the Rangers feel that this is their best chance to win the World Series because Hamilton wont resign with them.
