Zack Greinke fired his agent on Friday and has asked to be traded by the Royals.

The club is expected to grant his wish.

A high-ranking executive from another team told FOXSports.com, “He really wants out of K.C.” Separate major-league sources confirmed that Greinke has unequivocally asked the Royals to be traded.

Greinke will switch his representation from SFX Baseball to CAA.

Dude will probably kill himself after the papers get on him after a few bad starts.

Why not? New York needs a pitcher, and would probably dish out a crapload of money for a former Cy Young winner, such as Greinke.
Why would someone with anxiety issues welcome a trade to New York?

Plus it has been said Greinke would not accept a trade to New York.

Actually, the more I think about it, I can see him going to the Rangers. They have the deep farm system to make it happen.

I kinda would love/hate to have this guy in a Jays uniform. Dude's value has dropped considerably but the Royals' asking price is waayyyy to high imo. Although, he still has a chance to get back to 2009 form.

Oh he deserves a big package..he's 27, won't turn 28 until next October, so he's just starting the prime of his career. He's a dominant pitcher, just slumped a bit last year but it didn't have to do with his mechanics or anything, he just probably lost interest as he gave up because even when he pitched excellent, they would lose. I believe he pitched in 5 or 6 games where we scored 1 run or less..

I wish the Indians would roll the dice and make a trade offer then give him an extension.. Travis Hafner's contract is coming off the books soon and Grady so we'll have the money in my eyes at least and we have the farm system to do it as well, but it's a pipe dream.

I heard the Tigers are pretty interested in him. And that we are dangling around Jacob Turner and Andy Oliver for him. They also want a middle infielder.
I'd trade Oliver for him all day. We could send them Sizemore as well.

Doubt they trade him in the division though :/
