Grant Hill’s interest in joining the Knicks and being slotted as their starting shooting guard on a potential Eastern Conference contender is growing by the day, and there is a sense he is leaning toward that option.

The Bulls and Clippers have been mentioned as possible landing spots for Hill, who has played the past three seasons with the Suns.
Hill would be playing in the New York spotlight, where a basketball renaissance has taken place.

He would be thrust into the basketball mecca and his wife, Tamia, a recording artist, would be in the media and musical mecca.

She is expected to release a new album in two months.

Will be interesting to see how he does without Steve Nash.

Landry is okay, but he's more suited as a role player. Give him a few starts here and there especially during the tough stretches where they play more games more frequently, and a backcourt of Billups & Grant can struggle due to fatigue.

For the most part, Landry is okay. He doesn't create his own shots, but he benefits more on hustle plays, grabbing offensive rebounds, etc.

Now, if they focus again on that "7 second" offense D'Antoni ran a lot in first half of the season, Landry can be effective. Open shots in transition and he works well. If things are slowed down again, he struggles. Doesn't get open and struggles to create his own shot.

Landry played the same after getting Melo... His stats look worse because Melo was just a chucker and the offense was more of a shitty isolation offense and Fields got less looks. He plays very solid defense, is a great rebounder for his position and that is particularly helpful when you have a fucking soft ass rebounding PF in Amare and fucking Ronny Turiaf/Jeffries logging minutes at C. Grant Hill is too slow at this stage in his career to play the 2 effectively in an up tempo offense in my opinion, and I'd rather have Fields continue to develop rather than have a 1 year player steal time.

Like I said, if they go back to that quick 7 second or less offense I'd want Landry out there, because he's more effective in transition and gets more looks. The offense slowed down, and it affected his game. if they get that tempo back up then by all means he should be the starter.

grant played some GREAT defense this past year. he was guarding everyone from blake griffin to tony parker. i was really impressed. there was a game where he bullied blake. blake was getting pissed

you're underestimating him
and dont forget, he was playing up tempo in phoenix. he's in amazing shape at this point in his career. he's better than fields

He may be better than Fields right now, but I'd rather give Fields the minutes considering Hill will be on a short deal and Fields will hopefully continue to develop with time.
