Golf Club logo concept

I wanted to go with a simple look here, with not a lot of things going on at once. The logo is first seen as a G, which is fine, but I would love some advice on how to make the A more obvious (lower case A, that is), without ruining the entire look.

I think you shouldn't fixate on getting the G and the A in there. Unless you find a design that works really, really well it is hard to combine two letters and still make them legible. 
 
I would focus combining one letter with the tee and make it work, if you need to put a letter in the pictogram.

What about something like this? I do feel like its too plain though, idk.

Better in my opinion. I'd maybe adjust the A so that shape itself has a similar feel to the shape of the tee.
 
Something about it doesn't really flow yet.

id think the A is the letter you'd need to use anyways. i liked the first but the second reads a lot better and would help people who dont understand the concept.
