Gibbons will be back next year

Blue Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulos said manager John Gibbons will return next season.
Pressed by a reporter Tuesday to unequivocally confirm that Gibbons will not be fired, Anthopoulos replied: “Yes, there’s never been any thought on that respect at all.”
The Blue Jays have lost 32 of 48 games in July and August and have occupied last place in the AL East most of the season. Anthopoulos said media speculation about Gibbons’s job security is a natural outcome.
