The Jets don't have to play in Giants Stadium anymore, but they still feel like they are being treated as second class citizens.

The New York Daily News reports Jets owner Woody Johnson is "outraged" after the Giants won a secret coin toss Monday to determine what team gets to play first in the new Meadowlands Stadium. Apparently, no Jets or Giants representatives were in attendance for the flip.

The decision was reportedly made at the league offices, an odd development after a NFL spokesman said Saturday that commissioner Roger Goodell would solely determine the schedule.

Whether the league likes it or not, Johnson's "outrage" is going to create the impression that the decision was conveniently rigged. And the Jets, as usual, got the short end of the stick.

Nope. Jets got the lucky breaks that one specific team in the NFL gets every year. Next season it is someone else's turn to overachieve. We will win the NFC and the Superbowl this year.

Man all I have to say is that this stadium is going to be one of the sickest NFL stadiums in the NFL. And thats not because Im a Giants fan, its going to be really amazing going to home games.

I love how they made such a big deal about this yesterday, it just goes to show you that the Giants are the kings of New York when it comes to football.

lmao

the jets should get to open it based on the fact that they advanced further last year imo
We've won more overall, so why shouldnt we? I think it should be a fair decision, coin toss is fine as long as there was someone from both teams being represented.

lol wow you are the biggest homer ever. You guys are not gonna win the NFC or the Superbowl this year look how horrible u guys were last year. The vikings are gonna be at the top of the nfc again if they get Favre back and The saints are gonna be up there to. But the giants at best will be 4 in the nfc.

You've won more overall what? Championships? What does that have to do with opening a new stadium lol

And that's the thing there wasn't a rep from both teams. I could care less really about the situation but I do think there should have been someone from each team; though I don't think Johnson had to make a big deal about it either.

Even people who are Jets fans or follow the Jets will say "This will always be the Giants stadium." Not sure why, but guess they mean in more of an emotional way... if that makes sense.

Thing is, the Jets will get a Monday Night game before the Giants, which makes sense because the Giants are always <Censored>ing about playing at night.
