The Giants have earned a chance to rest their weary bodies Saturday night and guarantee they'll enter the playoffs healthier than they were in either of the last two years. But the players want no part of a weekend vacation.

They want their shot at the NFL's only remaining undefeated team.

"Personally, I would like to ruin it for them," said center Shaun O'Hara. "Let's do it. We're playing at home, and we haven't played our best football at home. So I think it would be a great send-off."

It would be more than that. It would be historic if the Giants (10-5) are able to beat the 15-0 New England Patriots at Giants Stadium on Saturday night. The Pats are trying to become the first team to go undefeated since the 1972 Miami Dolphins, and the Giants are the only regular-season speed bump left in their way.

A team that has always been too hurt to do good in the playoffs, or even make it there, and has a chance to rest their starters with no purpose in playing?

Like someone said (I think Mark Slereth) its not our job to stop history, 15 other teams had the chance and couldnt do it, its our duty to go into the playoffs as healthy as possible.

With that said i hope we do end their run, but I doubt we do. UNLESS Eli plays the best game of his life, we run for another 295 yds, and our defense gets continous pressure on Brady.

So, in essence, it's basically if everything that can and will go right for the Giants does and the exact opposite happens for the Patriots.

Yup lol, I dont expect to win, it would be nice but I doubt it happens. I just wanna make a solid playoff run. We can beat TB. I believe we can beat anyone in the NFC. I dont want one of our main guys go down just to please the '72 Dolphins.

I'd love it if they lost. I could brag all over school about them losing and my Packers will pwn them in the SB.
