With Giants receiver Victor Cruz out for the year with a torn patellar tendon, they need to add another wideout. Preferably one who can operate in the slot.
According to a league source, the Giants have signed receiver Kevin Ogletree. He recently worked out for the Giants, winning a one-man Gong Show tryout to get the job.
Ogletree, a 27-year-old native of Queens, has played for the Cowboys, Bucaneers, and Lions. His biggest year came in 2012 with Dallas; he caught 32 passes for 436 yards and four touchdowns.
Ogletree’s best game came in Week One against the Giants, catches eight passes for 114 yards and two touchdowns. Coincidentally, the Giants face the Cowboys in Dallas on Sunday.
