The Giants are letting teams know that outfielder Nate Schierholtz is available via trade.

He'll likely be the odd man out when Andres Torres returns from his Achilles injury.

Schierholtz, 27, is hitting .226 with a home run in just 31 at-bats this season. He is a .268 hitter for his career with a .311 OBP.

He'd be a great addition to a contending team that just needs a decent bat off their bench. Granted, his numbers don't look that inviting, but he's a lot better than this short season gives him credit for. What teams could you guys see showing some interest in him? And what kind of deal would it take to acquire him?

Thoughts?

A middle-low level prospect at best.

Yea, the Giants arent going to get much for this guy. They should just trade him for a bullpen arm or something.

Wouldn't mind seeing him in a jays uni. He's a lot better than most of our bench players.

This is exactly what I was gonna say

He's a great fielder and can hit for power at times

I don't see them getting much for him though. I'll miss him.
