After suffering a disappointing loss to the Lakers on Friday, George Hill ripped the fact Bankers Life Fieldhouse was mostly filled with Los Angeles fans.

In Hill's mind, the Indiana Pacers have done enough to regain support from the fan base, but the guard was frustrated about the lack of support the team received not just Friday, but throughout this season.

“It sucks," Hill said. "It was 70 (Lakers fans) – 30 (Pacers fans) out there. These are the same people that wants autographs after the game. We’re out there in the community. We’re doing our job, doing what we’re supposed to do on and off the court. Something has to change. I tip my hat to this team. We’ve been trouble free. Been out in the community shaking hands, we’re winning. It shouldn’t feel like an away game, especially with an important like this. Tonight, that’s what it felt like.

“(We’re) not a team that’s in the bottom in the East. We’re one of the top three teams in the East. We’re winning the Central Division and it should show. Right now it’s not and it’s been all season long where it’s not showing and I don’t think there’s nothing else we can do as an organization and as players. Now it’s up to the community.”

Damn that really sucks. He does have a very good point. The Pacers are doing very well and the fans still wont show up. Move them to Las Vegas! lol

They only fill 83% of their arena on average, which is 20th in the league. They're 26th in overall attendace. Thats bad.

It's a shame when you get a team playing this well and they can't even fill out the stadium.

And I assume their ticket prices are pretty reasonable compared to other teams like NY or LA.

I'm trying to think of another franchise that doesn't attract fans that's going to be in the playoffs. But I can't.

Yeah, but Atlanta isn't historically a great sports town anyway. Basketball is supposed to be king in Indy.
