Definitely a fantasy football kick in the sack for me.The Chargers offense showed the last two games that they can do just fine without Antonio Gates. It looks like they will have to continue doing so for the next two weeks.
Antonio Gates likely out for rest of regular season
Gates told Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune that it’s “kind of the goal” to get Gates back for the postseason at the earliest — if the Chargers make it. Gates was enjoying perhaps his best season in an amazing career, but has missed three games with turf toe and a torn plantar fascia in his foot.
The approach makes a lot of sense for the Chargers. This a team shooting for the Super Bowl.
They need some help to get to the playoffs, but they have shown they can score points without their best players. With Vincent Jackson back in the mix, they should have enough weapons to win in Cincinnati and Denver the next two games.
