Gasol will stay in LA as long as Kobe's there

Kobe Bryant was asked on Saturday about Pau Gasol's future with the Lakers.

"As long as I'm there, he's going to be there," said Bryant.

Gasol was acquired by the Lakers in 2008.

Very bold statement by Kobe here and I like it; sticking up for his teammate after all the trade rumors he's been involved in. Gasol deserves some more credit too.

Now Mike Brown needs to put Pau in the post. He'd be more consistent than Bynum if they were both down low, I think.
