Dale Sveum says he would be "surprised" if Matt Garza pitched for the Cubs again this season.
Garza hasn't taken the mound since July 21 because of a triceps injury and stress reaction within his elbow.
Leading up to the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline, there was speculation that Garza would be dealt, but his injury status made such a move impossible.
