Gaffney back to Patriots

Less than 48 hours after being released by the Washington Redskins, Jabar Gaffney is heading back to New England on a 2-year deal. After only spending a 7th round pick on the receiver position, the Patriots now head to camp with a plethora of veterans battling out the position. These veterans include: Welker, Branch, Ochocinco, Stallworth, Gonzales, and Lloyd.

I guess he's still a solid option, but he sort of became the #1 option in Washington last year by default. Moss went down, Davis got suspended, Hank went down, Cooley went down and Armstrong fell off the face of the earth. Gaffney and Grossman were also teammates in college, so maybe they also had a bit of a connection.

He played well last year, but I'm not sure if he can replicate that production.
