This is what I love about independent baseball; the wacky promotions.
The Lake Erie Crushers, a Frontier League team out of Avon, Ohio, will be hosting a June 30th promotion: "Keep Lebron in the C-L-E Night". The team will all wear #6 Cavs-themed jerseys and their stadium will be renamed "Lebron James Field" for the night.
Team officials also announced their plans to get in on the bidding of the free agent star. The Crushers will offer Lebron a $1600 per month salary (max per League rules), a host family to help ease the burden of travel from Avon to Akron, and a host suite for his free agent summit.
Sounds like a winner to me.
