Terry Francona wants a chance to get back on the field and back inside a clubhouse.

The Indians just might give him that opportunity.

The former Phillies and Red Sox manager interviewed Friday to be the Indians' next manager.
Francona spent most of the day in meetings with owner Paul Dolan, GM Chris Antonetti and other members of Cleveland's front office.

Sources tell FoxSports.com reporter Ken Rosenthal that Terry Francona has been selected to be the next manager of the Cleveland Indians and that an announcement will come Monday.

When I heard the rumors that he was on their list, it had me worried. I like Francona, but now he's on a rival.

He said before he interviewed with the Indians that he was going to take this job or go back to ESPN.

They need players before they're relevant, which involves spending money, which isn't going to happen.
